International Festival Of Music Producers And Sound Designers

Love to love Soundedit!

...

International Festival of Music Producers Soundedit is surprising with a star-studded lineup for the tenth time! This time, Łódź will be visited by the creator and precursor of dance music, winner of multiple Oscars, Grammy and Golden Globes – Giorgio Moroder! He will be followed by Nosowska, presenting her solo show for her album “Nosowska na tłusto”. The winner of the Soundedit award from 2010 – Andrzej Smolik will perform with her! In anticipation of the concerts of the celebrities and “The Man with the Golden Ear” Awards Gala, the audience will be warmed up by the rebellious Mery Spolsky. All this will take place on October 27 at Wytwórnia Club in Łódź.

This year, the first announced producers awarded with the “The Man with the Golden Ear” award are Italian Giorgio Moroder and Katarzyna Nosowska. They will receive the awards during a Gala, which will take place on October 27 (Saturday) at Wytwórnia Club in Łódź. The Gala will be preceded by performances by Mery Spolsky and Nosowska. Giorgio Moroder will perform for his fans in Łódź as the undisputed star of the night.

Moroder has worked with several of the biggest names in music, including Barbra Streisand, Elton John, Cher, Roger Daltrey, Janet Jackson, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Chaka Khan, Cheap Trick, and Pat Benatar. His biggest hit singles include Donna Summer’s “Hot Stuff” and “I Feel Love,” David Bowie’s “Putting Out the Fire” and Blondie’s “Call Me.”

The producer was a key player in the success of the “Queen of Disco” Donna Summer. In the 70s, he collaborated on her biggest hits: “Love To Love You Baby”, “Hot Stuff” or “I Feel Love.” In 1997, In 1997, Moroder and Summer won the Grammy Award for “Best Dance Recording” for the song “Carry On.” The Italian recently teamed with Verve Records to honour Summer with “Love To Love You Donna”, a collection of her most notable hits remixed by Afrojack, Hot Chip, Laidback Luke, Masters at Work and others.

Giorgio Moroder’s music charted success everywhere the disco craze touched down but he is also responsible for some of the most classic film scores to date including “Scarface” and “Midnight Express”, as well as timeless soundtrack numbers like “Take My Breath Away” (“Top Gun”), Irene Cara’s “Flashdance…  What a Feeling”, Blondie’s “Call Me” (American Gigolo), as well as compositions on films such as “The Never Ending Story”, “Superman III”, “Rambo III” and “Beverly Hills Cop II”.

“The Man with the Golden Ear” will also be awarded to Katarzyna Nosowska. She is probably best known as the vocalist of Hey, but whenever the group takes some time off, Nosowska alone, although always with excellent partners, visits the areas where she does not venture with her band.

Recently, she has also been exploring places outside the music world. For a year, she has been very active on Instagram, where she conducts fatness trainings and takes on a ridiculous face to talk about life, show business, celebrities, contemporary snobberies, phobias and fashion. Simply, concisely, honestly, brilliantly and wittily. A series of videos “And I told her… ” became the inspiration for a book with the same title, which premiered on May 23.

But Nosowska is also not idle in the music field. She is working with Michał FOX Król on her next solo album, the scheduled for autumn of 2018. She will present the new material live during her autumn tour – “Nosowska na tłusto”, and right now you can listen to the daring single “Ja pas!”.

Mery Spolsky will start the evening. Mery is a musical solo-performance and self-styled pop spolsky. She writes her own lyrics, composes the music, produces and arranges songs, designs clothes, plays the guitar. Sometimes there are keyboards, but only because they are black and white. Mery Spolsky’s fashion is an inseparable element of her performances. The collections have three colors: black, white and red. Red is seen mainly in her cross, which brings aesthetic help to everyone lost in the closet.

Mery’s first single and video, entitled “Miło Było Pana Poznać” was released in early June last year and now has over one million views on YouTube.

Three months later, it was followed by the second single and video, “Alarm”, while on September 15, 2017, Kayax released her first album entitled “Miło Było Pana Poznać.” Another single, “Liczydło,” was released on March 8 this year. Mery”s debut was nominated for the Fryderyk 2018 award in the categories: “Phonographic Debut of the Year” and “Electronic Album of the Year”.

Therefore, on October 27 (Saturday) during the 10th Soundedit Festival, Mery Spolsky, Nosowska and Giorgio Moroder will perform. On the same night, “The Man with the Golden Ear” Awards Gala will be held.

On October 26 (Friday), the cold wave legend The Opposition and cult club Morcheeba will take to the stage.
