MARC ALMOND: THE VOICE OF SOFT CELL. FOUR DECADES SOLO.

MAMBAS, BREL AND THE RETURN

Since 1984 he has walked his own path. Marc and the Mambas. Chanson. Jacques Brel - the artist's estate named Marc the greatest living interpreter of his songs. A duet with Gene Pitney: Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart, number one in the UK for five weeks. In 2004 he had to relearn how to sing after a motorcycle accident and two weeks in a coma. Today he sings better than ever.

He appeared at Soundedit twice - in 2013 and 2021. Although Dave Ball passed away in October 2025, they managed to record one final Soft Cell album, „Danceteria”, released right now. Marc Almond returns to Soundedit and closes a chapter that began back in 1979.

WOLFGANG FLÜR: THE MAN WHO WAS A KRAFTWERK ROBOT.

Percussionist. Architect of rhythm. One of four musicians who built the sound on which all electronic music of the last fifty years stands. Autobahn. Trans-Europe Express. The Model. The Robots. Computer World. As a member of Kraftwerk from 1973 to 1987 he helped define techno, synth-pop and the entire landscape of contemporary dance music. In 2021 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

He’s been creating his own shows for years. His album Times is a collaboration that once seemed impossible: Boris Blank (Yello), Peter Hook (Joy Division / New Order), Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk), Juan Atkins — the godfather of Detroit techno — andEmil Schult. His autobiography, “I Was a Robot,” has sold tens of thousands of copies. Fifty years after the release of Autobahn, Flür is still behind the wheel.
